Celtic boss, Neil Lennon says Super Eagles defender, Efe Ambruce will keep his place in the Scottish side's team if he returns from Africa Cup of Nations duty with Nigeria.
.
The Nigerian defender is expected to join up with the rest of his national team-mates at their training ground in Faro this week and told futaa.com that he would not bother his head much if he lost his place in Celtic's 1st team due to his expected participation at the Africa Cup of Nations.
.
Lennon has practically informed Ambruce he needs not worry his head even if he stays with the Nigerian team till February 10 when the final is to be played provided he stays fit to play.
.
If the Super Eagles advance to the final on Sunday, 10 February, Ambrose would only have one day to return from South Africa before Celtic face Juventus in the home first leg of their last 16 UEFA Champions League tie. Lennon maintains such a scenario would not preclude the Nigerian appearing against the Turin club. '' He's an incredible athlete, one of those who doesn't like to rest and who we practically have to tell to go away '', The Celtic manager said.
