Demba Ba has finalised his transfer to Chelsea for an undisclosed fee on a three-and-half-year contract, the club's website www.chelseafc.com said on Friday.

The former Newcastle stricker, who is currently the third highest goal scorer this season, will be eligible for Chelsea's FA cup clash at Southampton on Saturday the club said.
