Reports raising claims made by Windows phone users caught the attention of many last week. Users reported that they couldn't access
maps.google.com page, instead they were being redirected to the google's homepage.

Though google defended itself stating that the webkit browser was somehow incompartible with the devices and even promising to remove the redirect and fix the problem, Microsoft did not spare them but pointed the blame finger on them.
Windows Phone users will have to resort to using Bing Maps in the mean time.
