Ex-international Ademola Adesina has urged Super Eagles not to underrate any of their opponents at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations which kick-start in South Africa on January 19.

Adesina who featured in two Nations Cup finals during his playing days said that days are gone when some teams are regarded as underdogs on the continent.

'' My concern is that the players as a team should put their soul and spirit into the games '' Adesina, who was in the squad that reached the 1998 final in Morocco said.

'' They should treat every opponent as potential threats rather than underrating them which will be counter-productive ''.

'' There are no more minnows in African or world football anymore. It's better you confront your opponents with respect and acknowledge their qualities and potentials rather than underrating them ''.
