The permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Finance has described sports as an anti –aging vaccine which promotes longevity owing to its contribution to physical and mental alertness. The permanent Secretary stated this when the executive of Federal Public Service Games (FEPSGA) paid him courtesy visit at the ministry's auditorium. In his words, the PSF attributed his health status today to the series of sporting activities he has carried out from the cradle. Mr Danladi challenged all Directors both in Federal Ministry of Finance and other MDAS to be pace-setters in promoting all aspects of sports especially the Monthly Walking and Jogging Exercise. According to him, Sports is one of the major fields that do not talk about religion rather the only watch words of sports are unity and excellence.
The permanent Secretary advised the FEPSGA executive not to see each other as antagonists rather as partners in progress in the overall crusade in championing the course of sporting in the Nigeria public service. Danladi Kifasi told FEPSGA that the mantra on the immeasurable benefits from sports should not only be sung in the public service rather it should be extended to schools where he believes it will service as catalyze to the physical and mental growth of children.
In his response, the president of FEPSGA Mr. Victor Orji expresses his happiness to hear the interest the PSF has on sports. He appealed to the PSF never to relent in encouraging sports not only in FMF but in the entire public service .Mr Orji x-rayed the track record of the permanent Secretary and his contributions in all the ministries he has worked and informed him that FEPSGA has nominated him as one of its patrons as well as a member of its advisory board.
In his vote of thanks the Team Manager of sports club in FMF Mr. Taiwo thanked the PSF for the audience given to FEPSGA executive. He informed the executive that FMF sports club has never been found wanting in its sporting activities. He promised that the visit of FEPSGA executive will be another land mark in uplifting sporting activities in FMF.
