Title: Malaga appeal to CAS to scale through Euro ban
Post by: Folami David on Jan 15, 2013, 09:04 PM
Malaga will apeal against a future minimum one-season ban from European competition to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
.
Malaga, who are currently in the last 16 of the Champions League, have been punished for unpaid bills as European soccer's governing body (UEFA) gets tough on finances.
.
The ban does not apply this season but would immediately take effect the next time the Qatari-owned club qualified for European competition in the next four years.
.
UEFA's rules mean that all clubs will ultimately have to move towards balancing their books or face exclusion from European competitions.
