Nigeria head coach, Stephen Keshi has responded to critics claiming he is gambling with players from Nigeria Premier League for the 2013 AFCON.

Keshi, 50, was speaking recently on a football show on Channels TV on Tuesday when he cleared the air.

The Super Eagles manager was straight to the point in his reply saying the country's league should be shut down if it cannot produce players for the national team.

'' If players in domestic league cannot play in Super Eagles then let's scrap the domestic league '' said Keshi, who was a product of the Nigerian top flight with clubs like ACB and New Nigerian Bank (NNB), before becoming captain of the Super Eagles.
