Title: Intermillan scale through in extra-time
Post by: Folami David on Jan 16, 2013, 04:12 PM
Andrea Ranocchia scored in the last minute of extra-time to give Inter Millan a 3-2 Italian Cup win over Bologna whose comeback from 2 goals down proved in vain on Tuesday.
.
Bologna had scored twice in the last 10 minutes of normal time to shock a sparse San Siro crowd in the quaterfinal tie after Fredy Guarin and Rodrigo Palacio had put Inter in control with long-range goals.
.
Colombia midfielder Guarin waltzed past a defender before riffling in an unstoppable shot from the end of the penalty area in the 34th minute.
.
Argentine stricker Palacio appeared to have made the game safe in the 77th minute when he collcected the ball just inside the Bologna half, ran forward, cut inside a defender and scored with a curling 30-metre shot.
