Job description:
The candidate should be able to demonstrate a complete understanding, knowledge and commitment to the importance of HSE in the day to day activities. He must demonstrate safety awareness and show a duty of care for others around him. He must be a capable and willing team member. Warehouse Manager will be working within the Maintenance Department of an onshore fabrication yard and will perform but not be limited to the following functions;
• Drive warehouse and base operations management through implementation and enforcement of standards, procedures and processes in line with business requirements with optimum resource utilization and operational excellence.
• Manage and control integrated warehouse and base operations activities in the most effective and efficient manner.
• Plan, manage control utilization of storage space for exploration, drilling development and production.
• Lead benchmarking, review implementation of strategy, tools, and methodology and determine intervention and enhancement for gap closure.
• Identify and execute cost reductions initiatives through negotiations, consolidation of cargoes and selection of transportation mode in the area of warehouse management.
• Conduct risk assessments on warehouse management, review documentation and implement control measures on regulatory and statutory compliances.
• Provide guidance to users with respect to compliance to company's tenders & contract policies & procedures.
• Provide guidance and support in establishing warehouse and base operations by developing new processes, customizing procedures and training of personnel.
• Provide advice and share expertise on warehouse and base operations policies and procedures and other relevant matters.
Requirements:
• Warehouse Manager will have Degree or a professional qualification in relevant discipline such as Logistics, Materials Management, Engineering, Purchasing and Contracting.
• Minimum of 7 years experience in maintenance oil and gas operations.
• Minimum 7 years experience and involvement in various aspects of supply chain management functions especially in Warehouse and Inventory Management.
• Knowledge in logistics, MMM system both in external services and purchasing modules is an added advantage .
Terms & Conditions: For this position preference will be given to Nigerian Nationals. In case expatriate candidates are selected, it is a prerequisite he/she is tasked to mentor and train a Nigerian understudy.
