The CFO must demonstrate world class Business Analysis/modelling skills especially for infrastructure project finance engagements, be a great team player, seamlessly manage diverse and sometimes conflicting expectations of project partners and have a good work ethic. The successful candidate will provide critical support to the Chief Financial Officer and the Board of Directors.
Duties & Functions:
The Chief Financial Officer will lead the finance function of the Company and have oversight for monitoring financial affairs.
• Routine Accounting: Day to Day Accounting responsibilities, managing the GL, Accounts receivables, accounts payable, working capital management, internal control, leasing with auditors, risk management and reporting.
• Treasury & Tax Management: Cash and debt management, cash controls, cash and liquidity forecasting, tax compliance & restructuring, tax compliance.
• Modelling, Forecasting & Planning: Preparation, Implementation & Monitoring of Budgets for projects and all advisory and reporting responsibilities to the CEO and Board
• Other responsibilities: Managing Bankers and funding sources, Internal Audit, insurance and IT
Qualification and Experience:
• Between 10 – 15 years work experience in structured blue chip environments.
• Undergraduate degree in Business, MSc in Finance or an MBA and or professional certification equivalents (ACA, CPA, CFA etc)
• Demonstrate an ability to build and critic bankable project finance models
• Prior experience as a Chief Financial Officer or senior financial officer of a major Establishment
• Prior experience in Private Equity and ability to close major Project finance and M&A deals a significant plus
• Prior experience managing strategic growth initiatives including mergers and acquisitions
• Demonstrated success in implementing internal controls, budgets, expense and sales forecasting systems, including managing complex IT / ERP installations
• Polished Presentation Skills and ability to seamlessly analyse and breakdown financial information (Actual vs Plan) to a non-finance based audience
