1. JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client, a leading international group of companies with interest in diverse sectors of the Nigerian economy, seeks to strengthen its operational management capability by the appointment of an experienced industry professional as:
Sales Manager (Tyre Division)
Reports to: CEO
Responsibilities:
You will be expected to assume immediate responsibility for the building of positive working relationships with new and existing clients as well as drive sales revenue. You will also be expected to:
• Create and implement effective direct sales strategies and lead nationwide direct sales personnel towards achievement of sales objectives
• Lead the team through effective communication by training and developing each sales staff while comparing sales results to goals set
• Provide monthly sales budget, compensation programs and incentive planning
• Provide supervision through field/up-country visits
• Be proactive in identifying the problems in current distribution channel partners and take effective measure to control the credit given and simultaneously develop and modify strategies & tactics accordingly
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts
• Manage to meet/exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts
• Direct involvement for corporate and strategic accounts
• Provide quarterly procurement plan to product managers
• Maintain competition knowledge to create and adjust sales strategies
1. JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Degree-qualified in a business related discipline; an MBA will be an advantage
• A minimum of 15 years' relevant progressive experience, with at least 5 years' direct managerial responsibility in a similar organization
• Already operating at senior management level with appreciation for what it takes to integrate various managerial functions
• Possess impressive commercial acumen with experience of building a business into a profitable venture
• Strong leadership ability as well as good interpersonal communication and problem solving skills
