Job Title: Distribution Planning & Cost Controller

Purpose:
Fan Milk Distribution Planning and Cost Control is managed by a Distribution Planning and Cost Controller (DP&CC), who is directly responsible to the Head of Distribution for the effective and efficient planning of routes for the distribution of Fan Milk ambient and frozen products across Nigeria to Fan Milk customers.
The DP&CC support the Head of Distribution in developing the distribution strategy (commercial, operational and financial) for Fan Milk distribution activities in Nigeria in close cooperation with Head of Distribution.
He is overall responsible to the Head of Distribution for
• The development and implementation of distribution planning processes, tools and systems.
• Daily distribution planning and allocation of distribution fleet vehicles up to the point where loading has been completed.
• The definition and implementation of Key Performance Indicators with the purpose of measuring distribution performance that ensures agreed targets and standards are met in the distribution network.
The DPM ensure efficiency in the distribution planning and loading of trucks in order to meet customer's daily request for Fan Milk products.
The DPM support the Distribution department through change and deliver results within the organization culture and value of Fan Milk Plc.
CRITICAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate has:
• Understanding of management and fundamental operations of trucking services.
• High degree of assertiveness across cultural and educational diversity
• Extensive and thorough knowledge of supply chain management, logistics and/or distribution management
• Some managerial and leadership knowledge, applying best practices to all section of the business.
• Strong leadership and influencing skills with a collaborative work style, fostering cooperation and teamwork.
• Proving track record of achieving high level of productivity and other relevant success criteria.
• Effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Able to handle company information with confidentiality and discretion.
• Knowledge of major routes in Nigeria would be an advantage.
• Attention to details.
