Charlae, an afro-HipHop artiste, real names; Nnochiri Charles Ugo hails from Ezinihitte LG in Imo state. Born in Owerri but was raised in Lagos.
Charlae has been a lover of music from a tender age. Coming from a strong christian home, he joined the children's choir in the church. His passion and sense of music soon brought him to the Church spot light and was made to join the the Church mass choir at the age of 14 after which he became the mass choir lead vocalist in no time. In 2003, he formed a singing group called the PC-Men and recorded a song titled *The way we used to love* which got major airplay on star fm. The group was dissolved as the members went in pursuit of higher education.
Right after getting his BSc degree in history and international studies from lmo state university, he decided to pick up his music career afresh and this time more professionally which led him to start up his own record label called 'MONILONG ENTERTAINMENT'.
Charlae is set to take over and he is re-introducing himself with a hit single titled 'Bad girl' produced by Paul P.
