Purpose of Role:
This role is pivotal in leading the CAPEX Strategy across Guinness Nigeria by ensuring the right financial support is provided to relevant stakeholders across the business as well as having full responsibility for management of Project Expansions Financials from inception to execution in a timely and error free manner
Leadership and Functional Responsibilities:
The role holder will work closely with the Supply Finance director and Supply Chain Director to ensure the financial and operational delivery of Strategy and plans. The role holder is also required to play a critical role in coaching, increasing financial capabilities in his team and supply community
Key Accountabilities:
• Acting as a true finance business partner to the supply function and wider Guinness Nigeria Plc (GN Plc) community by leading the entire CAPEX strategic agenda for the business
• Managing the business performance across CAPEX providing insights to ensure timely interventions to optimise Guinness Nigeria's cash position.
• Responsible for the timely and accurate production of a timely CAPEX Business Performance Measurement (BPM) / Reporting, CAPEX R&O and CAPEX stratplan packs which guarantees full integrity of Guinness Nigeria Plc's financials
• Responsible for timely delivery of CAPEX appraisals and reviews along with seamless CAPEX process (Prompt system) driving improvements and ensuring the end-to-end CAPEX process/cycle is closed
Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required:
• Graduate calibre qualified Accountant with minimum 8 years post qualification commercial financial background within FMCG, with a proven track record of practical application of broad based financial skills alongside in depth operational knowledge
• Extensive experience using excel and financial modelling (i.e. investment appraisals) along with solid understanding of Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) principles and applications
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills along with project management experience in a cross-functional team setting.
• Ability to effectively influence through peers / senior management and to manage different stakeholders in order to execute flawless
Barrier to Success in Role:
• Lack of SAP/BW and advanced excel expertise knowledge
• Inability to influence and build relationships across many levels of the organisation
• Lack of creativity in identifying new approaches to business issues
• Lack of proactivity and/or initiative in driving projects to completion
