It's no secret that Samsung is dominating the Android market, but the margin of its lead might be a bit surprising to some. According to a report from mobile analytics firm
Localytics, the Koreans account for eight of the top 10 Android devices in use.

As one can expect, Samsung's latest flagship Galaxy S III (http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_i9300_galaxy_s_iii-4238.php) and its predecessor Galaxy S II (http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_i9100_galaxy_s_ii-3621.php) are the top guns, holding a combined share of 17.4%. The mid-range Galaxy Ace (http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_ace_s5830-3724.php) is a distant third spot with 3% of the Android market, followed by the Note (http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_note_n7000-4135.php) and the Note II (http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_note_ii_n7100-4854.php) phablets with 2.6% and 2% respectively.
Amazon's Kindle Fire (http://www.gsmarena.com/amazon_kindle_fire-4524.php) sneaks in the list with 1.7% of the Android users. The tablet is followed by the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 (http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_tab_2_7_0_p3100-4543.php) with 1.4% of the Android devices. The other smartphones in the list are Galaxy Y (http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_y_s5360-4117.php), Droid RAZR (http://www.gsmarena.com/motorola_droid_razr_xt912-4101.php) and Epic 4G (http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_s_ii_epic_4g_touch-3956.php).
According to the report, Samsung controls whopping 47% of the total Android market share.
