Title: Osaze still has Baggies role
Post by: Folami David on Feb 13, 2013, 12:46 PM
West Brom manager Steve Clarke says wantaway stricker Peter Odemwingie still has a future at the club, and insists his omission against Liverpool 'wasn't an additional punishment'.
.
The Nigerian found himself in hot water with the Baggies after trying to seal a January transfer deadline day move to QPR after driving to london to speak to R's.
.
However, no such move materialised and the forward has since been dealt with internally by Albion, having not played for them since January 19.
.
The 31-year-old was in the squad that surprised the Reds with a 2-0 scalp at Anfield on Monday, although he watched the game from the stands, but Clarke said that decision was merely tactical and was not further punishment for the player.
.
'' It wasn't an additional punishment and he was involved, that is why he was there '', he said.
