(http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2618253/ForumPhotos/INEC%20Nigeria.gif) INEC Chairman, Professor Attahiru Jega, while addressing members of the press, has disclosed that a total of twenty one candidates on the platform of various political parties are to contest the presidential election scheduled for April 9th 2011.
He also announced that four parties – Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN); the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP); the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC); and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had candidates jockeying for all constituencies while other parties had candidates in varying degrees.
According to the INEC Chairman, nine political parties did not submit any candidate for the 2011 general elections.
