Chief Donatus Agu Ejidike has described the Super Eagles feat at the recently concluded 29th Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa as a national rebirth that will open a new vista for the nation in the field of sports.
.
Ejidike who is Kwara State Pillar of Sports commended the entire squad for their patriotic and triumphant outing in the face of criticism during the early stages of the competition as they were able to rise to the occasion to prove critics wrong at the end of the day.
.
The Pillar of Sports appreciated President Goodluck Jonathan for the national honours and rewards accorded the winning team saying it will further spur them to doing more for their fatherland in future tournaments especially in the World Cup qualifiers which resumes next month with Super Eagles tackling Kenya in Calabar on March 23.
.
"Keshi needs the support and commendation of every Nigerian for leading the team to victory in South Africa", starts Ejidike.
.
"He has proved that this country has great coaches who are as good or even better than their foreign counterparts if supported and encouraged.
.
"At the same time I must urge him to sustain the spirit of nationalism and do more for Nigeria".
They deserve every possible hailing they can get. They worked for it
