Super Eagles Head Coach, Stephen Keshi, says he has not given up on the possibility of his top striker, Emmanuel Emenike featuring in the March 23, World Cup qualifier against the Harambee Stars of Kenya in Calabar inspite of reports that the player will be out of action for two months due to injury.

Keshi,according to Super Eagles media officer,Ben Alaiya feels that the reports may have been exaggerated and will be waiting for final words from medics from both the national team and the Spartak Moscow of Russia.

"Emenike is a very important component of our national team set up and we have to be concerned if he is in form, injured or otherwise and that is why we are a bit concerned about reports that he will not be available for the game against Kenya'',Keshi was reported to have said.

Meanwhile, Keshi has categorically said that he cannot assure Nigerians that the team will not lose any match.

While fielding questions from sports editors last weekend at the TomTom Editors' Roundtable that took place shortly after the reception organised by TomTom in honour of the Super Eagles for their feat at the AFCON 2013, Keshi maintained that though his team is gradually becoming strong,he cannot promise that it would not lose any competitive game, saying some games, for sure would be lost.

"Though we have not lost any competitive match since we took over but I cannot assure Nigerians that we will not lose. It is not practical and it is not done anywhere that we are not going to lose any game.

We will lose some games. That is for sure. When we lose, we learn from it. There is no coach that goes to the field and wants to lose a game. When you play a game, only three things can happen – you win, draw or lose. And when you lose, that is not the end of the world. We will put up a fight and if it happens that we lose, so be it. If we win, that is great," Keshi bellowed.
