Super Eagles defender, Godfrey Oboabona, says the team will be ready for the Harambee Stars of Kenya in next month's 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier. He adds that the East Africans will be handled just like the Eagles dealt with Cote d'Ivoire at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.
.
The Sunshine Stars Football Club of Akure star, who has been linked with several clubs shortly after helping Nigeria to win their third Africa Cup of Nations trophy, states it is a matter of priority for Nigeria to win the match and other games to qualify for the World Cup holding in Brazil next year.
.
Oboabona also says he will be happy if coach Stephen Keshi considers him good for the match billed to hold at the UJ Esuene Stadium in Calabar on March 23.
.
"For now, I cannot say if I will be considered for the match or not because the coach has the final say. But our plan is to give our best in every game we play in the qualifiers. In fact, the matches will be handled just like the Cote d'Ivoire match at the Nations Cup in South Africa," says the Ondo-based Super Eagles defender.
.
"After all we did at the Nations Cup, we just don't have any excuse not to qualify for the World Cup and that is why we are not going to underrate any team in the qualifiers because we are well known now and any team we are going to play will want to put in everything they have. So we are not going to underrate any team."
.
The Super Eagles will be called to camp in the first week of next month for the match that has been slated for March 23.
