Title: Ogun State - Embrace "Feedback Mechanism", Olaniyonu urges Ogun people

 An appeal has gone to members of the public in Ogun State to make judicious use of the planned 2-way communication initiative of the State Ministry of Information and Strategy scheduled to debut on Friday, 1st March 2013.      Commissioner in charge of the Ministry, Yusuph Olaniyonu who made the appeal todaywhile fielding questions during a media chat in Abeokuta submitted that the initiative tagged “Feedback Mechanism” was created to bring governance closer to the people and engender better understanding between government and the governed. According to him, the programme would create a platform for members of the public to air their views, make enquiries and offer suggestions on various issues affecting their lives particularly those bordering on the five cardinal programme of the State Government.  Olaniyonu however urged that callers should restrict their contributions to issues that are germane to development and shun discussions on partisan politics as the programme was designed to allow members of the public interface with agencies of government.’ “I appeal to our good people of Ogun State to be honest and also cooperate with the government for delivery of good governance.  Kindly assist us by doing away with any destructive criticism” Olaniyonu said.In his contributions, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Alhaji Abdul Fatai Opebiyi explained that four dedicated telephone lines would be made available for the programme scheduled to hold Mondays to Fridays between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.     The telephone lines according to him are 08172923777, 08082474292, 08103341344 and 07056966606
