The Aide De Camp to Bayelsa State Governor, Mr. Eseimokumo Hitler Agbalalah has been promoted from the rank of Assistant Superintendent to Deputy Superintendent of Police.
Also elevated to the same rank is the Camp Commandant, Government House Yenagoa, Mr. Oyinmiebi Nikki Koinyan.
Decorating both officers at Government House, Governor Seriake Dickson described their elevation as well deserved in terms of diligence and dedication to duty.
While congratulating the young officers and their spouses on the promotion, Hon. Dickson expressed hope that their new ranks would spur them to offer greater service to humanity.
Highpoint of the ceremony was the formal decoration of the two officers by Governor Seriake Dickson assisted by the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Kings Omire, the Flag Officer Commanding, Central Naval Command, Yenagoa, Rear Admiral Johnson Olutoyin, and Mrs. Koinyan.
In a related development, the Chief Press Secretary to the Bayelsa State Governor, Mr. Daniel Iworiso Markson has been honoured with the Best Press Man of the Year Award by the state Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists.
In a statement, Mr. Markson said he was humbled by the award and thanked the organizers for deeming him fit for the award.
The Chief Press Secretary who dedicated the award to the Government Media Team, expressed optimism that the award would further spur him and his team to work harder.
