Nigeria would soon have a comprehensive Compendium/Directory that would showcase the enormous potentials, of the nation in the power and energy sub-sector.
Already, key industry players such as consultants, manufacturers and suppliers of solar power including other renewable energy contractors, inventors, and specialists on electric power generation, transmission and distribution have keyed into the project.
According to the project initiators, Messrs, Megawatts Publishing and Printing Company, Publishers of Megawatts Power & Energy Digest and in collaboration with International Electricity Forum (IEF) and Electric Power Foundation, the publication would ginger greater awareness and interest in the viable but yet to be fully harness Power and Energy Industry.
It is also intended to put into proper perspective, the giant stride being recorded by major stakeholders and governments in the industry.
Scholars in Power and Energy Technology, such as Thermal, Biomass, Wind, Solar energy including oil and gas would find the compendium handy.
Also financial institutions and insurance companies are called upon to queue into this new arrangement designed as One-Stop-Shop in the power and energy sub-sector of the economy.
The publication is intended to bridge communication gap which in the past has hindered the full investment, exploitation and exploration in this sector of the national economy.
As it has been the practise in the developed world, such documents usually help in tracking down manufacturers and suppliers of sub-standard products including the patronage of quacks in the industry.
It will also promote the safety consciousness in power and energy utilisation both for domestic and industrial use among others.
Thereby improving the economy for up-ward activities, that would create wealth and reduce poverty.
