General Secretary of Nigeria Football Federation, Musa Amadu, has further reiterated the function of the anticipated Technical Director for Nigeria Football, saying when appointed, such coach will not interfere with the various national teams coaches' jobs.

"Appointment of technical director is a global trend. Nations all over the world have their football technical directors and ours cannot be any different,"

Amadu said.

"It's part of FIFA programme to develop the game. We cannot say no to it. He's not coming to take any of our national teams coach's jobs.

"He won't sit on the bench of the Super Eagles; he is not coming to sit on the Flying Eagles bench, not even the Golden Eaglets bench, Super Falcons, Flamingoes or Falconets.

"Instead, he will be saddled with the responsibility of fashioning out developmental policies for the general good of our football.

"This starts from the grassroots level down the line. The present NFF leadership is committed to laying a strong foundation for the growth of the game in the country."

There have been fears that when appointed, the Technical Director will usurp the roles of various national teams' coaches but the NFF General Secretary reasons otherwise.

"The Technical Director is not coming to coach any of the teams. He has a different but specified role to play.

"The only thing is that he will have an input in the programmes of the various national teams but cannot go beyond that level," Amadu explained.
