USQ Women's development scholarships are available for postgraduate students in Australia. The students of Australia can apply for this scholarship. Scholarship Description: This initiative by the Status of Women in Employment & Education Committee, in conjunction with the USQ Women's Development Program, aims to assist specific under-represented groups of female Postgraduate Scholarships to enhance their career potential and increase retention.

Selection criteria: Applicants must meet some of the following criteria: -those experiencing financial hardship eg -single parent with part-time employment/low income -job loss or potential loss of farm -personal circumstances eg -first in family to study at a postgraduate level and little support for her initiative -victim of domestic violence -students with a disability or medical condition -rural and regional students -Indigenous Australians -those from Non-English Speaking Backgrounds (NESB) -students enrolled in non-traditional areas of study, based on gender Applicants must submit a personal statement indicating: -confirmation of progress of dissertation or study -a description of their career aims and goals Applicants must: -provide evidence of academic achievement -provide a current curriculum vitae -have a sound level of academic achievement -if a USQ Staff member, provide a Memo of Support from their Head of School or Department to undertake study.
