The National Judicial Council (NJC) on Wednesday February 20th, recommended to President Goodluck Jonathan the compulsory retirement of both Justices on account of several complaints levelled against them.

Meanwhile, President Jonathan has approved the sacking of Justice Archibong and the Plateau State government is expected to act on the NJC recommendation concerning Justice Naron.

Two legal practitioners who spoke to Channels Television commended the move by the NJC but insisted that there's still much more to be done to weed out corrupt members of the bench.

The lawyers also advised that the two controversial judges be made an example of as a deterrent to other unethical judges.
