Job Title: Polytechnic Librarian
Location: Bauchi, Nigeria
Organisation: Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic, Bauchi – Nigeria
Responsibilities:
• The Polytechnic Librarian is responsible to the Rector for the administration and smooth operation of the Library services of the Polytechnic.
• He shall possess those personal qualities like drive, innovation, resourcefulness and ability to initiate and supervise research.
Qualification:
• Candidates shall possess at least a Master of Library Science (MLS) with 16 years cognate experience and professional registration with professional body. In addition, candidate must show evidence of:
1. Publications of 4 journal papers
2. 3 other papers presented at a National/International seminars
3. Not less than 4 meaningful chapter contributions in standard textbooks or publication of 2 standard textbooks.
Terms of Appointment:
1. The appointment is for an initial period of four (4) years and is eligible for re-appointment for another period of four (4) years only.
2. The salary attached to the post is according to the Polytechnic Scheme of Service.
3. The candidate appointed will be entitled to an official car with a driver, rented accommodation and other benefits as specified in the Polytechnic Condition of Service.
