Nigeria Football Federation's 1st vice-president, Mike Umeh, has admonished Nigeria's women's team and other national teams to draw inspiration from the recent success of the Super Eagles in the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.

Speaking on the impact of the feat on all national teams, Umeh called on the coaches and players of all other national teams to work harder and reap the benefits thereafter, saying Stephen Keshi has proved that Nigerian teams can rule the continent and the world of football again.

"The Eagles' victory in South Africa is a big morale booster for our players and coaches. Stephen Keshi made history and became only the second African coach to win the trophy both as a player and as a coach and that was massive. And for the players, most of them have never played at the Africa Cup of Nations and even those who have been there before have not won it; so it's something that our other teams should draw inspiration from and work towards winning the tournaments that they will play in."

"The coach achieved this milestone with players who are keen to play for their country and that is what we ask of the players; to play for their fatherland with great passion."

"The Federation will keep supporting all the national teams because we want to return to where we used to be in the game and even surpass it," Umeh stated.

The Flying Eagles who will campaign in the CAF U 20 Youth Championship in Algeria are currently intensifying their preparations in Tunisia.
