AFCON hero Sunday Mba has said he is a player of Enugu Rangers thus defying a ruling by the Nigeria Premier League.
.
On Monday, the Nigeria league ruled that 24-year-old Mba belongs to another club, Warri Wolves.
.
However, Mba, who scored the goal that gave Nigeria a third Nations Cup crown earlier this month at the expense of Burkina Faso, was presented to the public by Rangers as one of their top signings at a brief ceremony on Wednesday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu.
.
He was handed the no. 8 shirt. Mba told MTNFootball.com on Wednesday: "I have always been a Rangers player. I used to be a player of Warri Wolves."
.
On Wolves ordering him to resume to training not later than Friday, the former Enyimba and Dolphin star said, "I am not keen on teaming up with Wolves.
.
"My dream is a move to Europe and if any team come up (with a deal), they should dialogue with Rangers. Why not?"
.
The former schoolboy international has been linked to several top clubs in Europe including Bayer Leverkusen on the back of his exploits at South Africa 2013.
.
Mba's teammate from Wolves who was also at the AFCON, Chigozie Agbim, was among the players presented to the public on Wednesday.
