Meanwhile,the Flying Eagles have settled down fully at the Tunisia training camp despite the freezing temperatures.

The temperatures have dipped to as low as three degrees centigrade during training, but the Nigeria U20s are determined this will not affect their schedule or their resolve to keep their African Youth Championship in Algeria next month.

They are fully kitted with woollen hand gloves and other warm cloths to keep away the chill.

Temperatures in Algeria range from 11 degrees to 17 degrees, meaning the warmest in Tunisia will be the coldest in Algeria.

"Tunisia is a lot colder than Algeria and so it is a good preparation for us," said team doctor Ozi Salami. Wednesday was a low four degrees but thankfully it was very sunny.

The team will do gym work and use the Jacuzzi Wednesday afternoon.

Coach John Obuh has so far worked on the players' endurance, passing and combination play.

Wikki Tourists star forward Umar Aminu has fully recovered from an ankle complaint and took part in the full squad workout on Monday night at the Esperance training complex in Tunis for the second straight day.

"Aminu is fit and we do not have any serious injury worries," said team physio Nnaemeka Alozie.

The Flying Eagles will play their first match since their arrival in Tunisia on Thursday by 3.30pm against the Tunisia U20s, who moved into the El Mouradi Hotel on Monday.

Incidentally, Nigeria's Group B foes Gabon are due at the El Mouradi Tuesday week to also acclimatise ahead of the AYC in Algeria.

They are also scheduled to face the Tunisia U20s on March 9.
