Levante captain Juanfran has slammed Nigerian striker Obafemi Martins for his recent outburst that he is not interested in playing for the Spanish side again.
.
The former Inter Milan striker was quoted yesterday as saying that he is desperate to take his game elsewhere after claiming that the club authorities have reneged on their contractual agreements before signing for them on free last summer but the captain was of the view that their Nigerian import ought to be more professional in his approach to the whole saga.
.
"We 've spoken to him to be calm and not speak on the matter again. We let him to understand his mistakes and he also admitted his errors," the Levante left back began.
.
"The matter is a personal issue but he is an important player for us. We do not know whether he'll be here till the end of the season or call it quit tomorrow, but we hope that he will continue to deliver the goods till the last day here." It is reported that MLS side Seattle Sounders are willing to splash the cash on the former Newcastle striker.
