Spanish police say Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema was caught for speeding at more than 100 kilometres per hour (62 mph) above the limit.

Police told The Associated Press on Thursday that Benzema has been charged with reckless driving after being caught going 216 kph (134 mph) in a speed zone of 100 kph in Madrid on February 3.
