Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert says he "cannot fault" his players after a 1-0 home loss to Premier League champions Manchester City.
.
A Carlos Tevez goal on the stroke of half-time was enough to give City all three points and Lambert believes his team can have "their heads held high" after a spirited performance which saw them have a shot cleared off the line early on.
.
Villa remain in 18th position though and face the other two teams in the relegation zone, Reading and QPR, in their next two matches.
