The Sunday Mba transfer saga took another dimension yesterday when Rangers International FC stormed the Glass House secretariat of the Nigeria Football Federation to settle the problem with Warri Wolves.

Both Warri Wolves and Rangers are claiming ownership of the Super Eagles sensation who scored the lone goal that won the Nations Cup for Nigeria in the final against Burkina Faso only last month in South Africa.

Rangers arrived at the Glass House with a high- powered delegation which included top lawyer Femi Falana, the club chairman Paul Ozor, Enugu FA boss Chidi Offor, Friday Kujah and two lawyers representing Mba and Enugu FA.

Director of Competition, Dr. Sanusi Mohammed, led the NFF Committee to resolve the issue. Also in the committee were Christian Emeruwa, Okey Obi and Nasir Jubril.

Delta Sports Commission chairman Mr Pinnick Amaju led the three-member Warri Wolves delegation that included team secretary and board member.

They emerged from the meeting after three hours with the two parties smiling and expressing optimism that the NFF will rule in their favour today when the case is concluded.

Speaking after the meeting Pinnick Amaju expressed disgust with Rangers for dragging ownership of Mbah with Warri Wolves knowing full well that they have been paying the players salary for the past 24 months.

Rangers on their part said Mba signed a six-year contract for them since 2006 and that he was released provisionally to Wolves and that the player returned after the provisional release lapsed.

The NPFL who had earlier ruled that the player in question remains a Warri Wolves player until NFF decided to come in stayed away from the meeting.
