Title: Jigawa State: Television and Radio equipments

The Jigawa state Executive Council has approved over 2.4bn for the upgrading of the state owned Media outfits and the supply of Television equipments for the proposed State Television, by Harris Pinnacle Communication and Messer Techno System West Africa respectively. According to the commissioner of Information, Youth, Sports and Culture, Honorable Babandi Ibrahim, the equipments to be supplied are two 50kilowatts A.M Transmitters for Radio Jigawa by Messer Techno System West Africa at the cost of about N227m, and an additional Digital Ready Transmitter and on air Studio for FM Andaza by E-PLUS to supply Digital Ready and on air Digital Studio for FM Andaza at the cost of N96m.

Harris Pinnacle Communication would supply and install Television equipments which include Transmitters at Dutse, Hadejia, Gumel and Kazaure at the cost of over N2.1bn with a completion period of Eight weeks.

The Commissioner also disclosed that the Council also approved the award of contract for the construction of 10no feeder road across the state at the cost of over N2.3bn. The roads are those of Limawa-Galamawa, Yalo-Unguwar Jibrin, Garki- Jangari-Buku-Kanya, Guri-Abiyani, Lambar Zauma- Duwugi- Gwiwa, Gantsa-Tujowo-Ahoto, Ayama Junction- Ayama Town, Arbus-Girbobo, Idanduna- Kadowawa, Jibori-Madachi.
