Super Eagles midfielder, Ejike Uzoenyi, may have finally realized his long dream of playing in Europe after the Enugu Rangers dazzler confirmed he has moved to his French Ligue 1 club, Rennes, on Wednesday.

Uzoenyi was part of the Super Eagles team that won the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa where he featured in only one game after coming on as a second half substitute for Brown Ideye in the semi- final game with Mali.

"I'm now in France. I left yesterday (Wednesday) for France", Uzoenyi told Complete Sports on Thursday.

The former Gateway United ace had been on Manager Frederic Antoneti's radar all season with Uzoenyi having undergone trials at the club recently.

"Sure, everything has already been sorted out. I'm very happy about it," he said even as he did not disclose the duration of the contract or any other details.

Uzoenyi who is among the 24 home-based players listed by Super Eagles gaffer, Stephen Okechukwu Keshi, for camping ahead the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Harambee Stars of Kenya at the U.J Esuene Stadium, March 23, was thought to be joining compatriot, Apam Onyekachi, at the club in a six- month loan deal.

However, an official of Rangers, Foster Chime, could not explain the where-about of Uzoenyi at the moment.

At least he can pick up his career from there. Playing in France has lots of advantages so he won't regret it
