The "Harlem Shake (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/news/harlem-shake/)" phenomenon continues at full-force across the globe, but one of the latest videos to emerge from the trend is downright disturbing.
The Love March Movement (https://www.facebook.com/LoveMarch2012/info), a Jamaican group "dedicated to representing Christ's view on intercourseual sin, including homointercourseuality, and standing in love and prayer for our country," is reportedly behind this bizarre "Harlem Shake" clips, which includes dancers carrying placards with the terms "pedophilia," "gay marriage" and "the buggery law," among other eyebrow-raising terms.
In November, grainy footage of what appeared to a young gay man being beaten (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/11/02/jamaica-anti-gay-attack-video_n_2067114.html)at a leading Jamaican university sparked the ire of lesbian, gay, biintercourseual and transgender (LGBT) rights advocates after making the blogosphere rounds.
Meanwhile, LGBT rights activist Javed Jaghai announced plans to "aggressively agitate for change" to his country's anti-sodomy law after allegedly being kicked out of his home because of his intercourseual orientation, according to the Washington Blade (http://www.washingtonblade.com/2013/02/12/gay-jamaican-man-challenges-countrys-anti-sodomy-law/). Jaghai was one of several locals to participate in "We Are Jamaicans (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/01/18/we-are-jamaicans-anti-gay-discrimination-video-campaign_n_2505521.html)," a poignant video campaign produced by the Jamaican Forum for Lesbians, All-intercourseuals and Gays (J-FLAG) in hopes of combatting local anti-gay sentiment.
