Super Eagles AFCON star,Victor Moses is happy to stand up and distance himself from all the furore surrounding his beleaguered manager right now. And he reckons his team-mates are too.

"We want to play for the manager. He is a great manager who has had a great career. Any player would want to play for a manager like him and win games," he says before yesterday's FA Cup quarter- final 2-2 draw bewteen Manchester United and Chelsea at Old Trafford. "Different managers see different things, but he has played me quite a lot this season and I just want to keep playing.

"It's not just me, it's everyone else at the club. We just want to continue working hard for him because he is a good manager." Such a resounding endorsement will be music to the ears of the Spaniard who Chelsea fans seem to love to hate.

Moses is the first to acknowledge that success in the FA Cup is pretty crucial right now.

"Everyone wants to win the FA Cup.It will be a massive thing for the club and the manager.
.
Moses' confidence had received a massive boost following his success with Nigeria in the Africa Cup Of Nations, even though he admits he might have put England before his birthplace if the fame he now enjoys here had come a year or so earlier.

"It was a great honour for me to win it and represent Nigeria at the same time.
.
"Winning meant a lot to the people because they have never won anything for 19 years. But who knows what might have happened if all this had happened sooner?"

This season has been pretty good for Moses anyway, but finishing it with a trophy is now paramount.

Speaking at an appearance to promote EA SPORTS FIFA 13 Ultimate Team, Moses added: "We still have two trophies to play for and hopefully we can win something.

It also presents the tantalising prospect of playing at Wembley for the first time in his life.

"I have never even watched a game there," Moses revealed.
