Title: Lobi Stars vow to punish LDMM
Post by: Folami David on Mar 11, 2013, 10:09 PM

Lobi Stars' defender, Anthony Agbaji has said his side will put up a five-star performance against Caf Confederation Cup opponents, Liga Desportivo Muculana de Maputo (LDMM) on Sunday at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium, Bauchi.
.
The Makurdi-based side beaten 0-1 by the Nigeria Professional Football league (NPFL) rivals, Bayelsa United in the opening match of 2012/13 season were exempted from the preliminary round of Africa's second tier club competition.
.
Agbaji said the NPFL defeat will not weaken his side's continental campaign as they have vowed to inflict pain on the Mozambique foes when both sides clash on Sunday.
.
"No, the NPFL lost to Bayelsa United won't affect us against Liga Muculmana on Sunday instead we'll transfer the pain to them.
.
"We're the better of the two sides, unfortunately Bayelsa were the side that scored the winner in the dying minutes of the encounter.
.
"We took the defeat in good faith and have consigned it to the record books, it's now history.
.
"We just want to gather ourselves together, get our house in order for the continental challenge.
.
"We're going for an emphatic win to make the reverse fixture in two weeks a mere formality," he said.
.
The reverse fixture will be held at the 10 000-seat Estadio da Liga Muculmana Matola in Mozambique.

Lobi stars shouldn't be so sure because there are no small teams anymore. They will have to work hard
