Former Super Eagles Assistant Coach, Salisu Yusuf Reflects On Crunch Derby Between Rangers And Enyimba Coach Salisu Yusuf has admitted that Saturday's Premier League opening fixture between hosts, Rangers International and two-time African Champions, Enyimba International, will prove a massive test for his side's ambition to stroll back into the continent next season.

"It's going to be a tough match indeed because this is the first match of the season and every club is still fresh and raring to go", the soft spoken former Samson Siasia's assistant during his reign as Super Eagles coach said.

"But all the same, we're very prepared and we're going to take it like every other match and at the same we'll remain positive and focused hoping for a decent result".

A possible win in Enugu come Saturday will set the Nigerian six-time top flight kings on the right frame of mind but Yusuf who joined Enyimba from Taraba United reckons that he is proud to be involved in this Oriental Thriller.

"The two teams are high profile teams. They are unarguably the most supported teams in the country and matches involving the two of them have always been explosive so I've heard and read.

"I'm looking forward to it, I'm happy to be part of the Oriental thriller as you called it and I won't wait to see the fans of both teams filling the stands on Saturday. I've heard and read so much about the two teams even from afar.

"I've read about their records of achievements and rivalries as well as how they are being adored as the pride of this part of the country too. It's very interesting and I'm happy to be involved".
