Millionaires have vowed to deliver all points in Owerri on Sunday, to show their readiness to take the league by storm this season Heartland's skipper, Chinedu Efugh has reiterated the Naze Millionaires' resolve to start the 2012/13 Nigeria Professional Football League on a high note.

Based on their acquisitions in the transfer market, the Owerri-based side are among the pundits lists of clubs to spring surprises this season but the perennial problem over welfare issues is still a major concern ahead of the team's Match Day One cracker at home to Nembe City of Yenagoa.

Despite their off field woes, the club has been able to churn out impressive results in the pre-season
Charity Cup and the Kano pre-season tournament for Nigeria's clubs playing in African competitions. Efugh stated that the players have not and would not allow their welfare issues to affect them when they step out on the pitch against Nembe City today.

"We are not happy with what is going on as regards our signing on fees and other bonuses we are being owed, but that doesn't mean that we will take it to the field on Sunday against Nembe City: begins the Heartland Skipper.

"The Governor (Owelle Rochas Okorocha) was at our training session on Tuesday this week and he did assure us that the government is working on paying the debt. We are not bothered about that because we believe he is a man of his word.

"We are going to make a statement with the game against Nembe City. We allowed off field incidents to affect us in the league last season, but this term we will not allow that to happen in as much as the State government keeps to the agreed terms," Efugh disclosed.

Heartland ended the 2011/12 league season in 8th position and even lost a game at home against Sharks and teams like Sunshine Stars and Kano Pillars also picked valuable points in Owerri.
