I can reveal that the Super Eagles duo of Ezekiel Bassey and Anthony Okpotu will join their colleagues at Lobi Stars on Friday ahead of Sunday's 2013 Caf Confederation Cup match against Mozambican side, Liga Muçulmana de Maputo. Lobi Stars supremo, Dominic Iorfa, revealed this.

Both players reported at the Abuja camp of the Super Eagles with others from the domestic league after Matchday 1 proceedings in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) were concluded.

"The match is slated for Sunday in Bauchi and we expect Bassey and Okpotu to join us from the Eagles camp. After the match, both players will return to the Super Eagles camp.

"We did our best to return to Africa and we're preparing well for Sunday's match," Iorfa said.

Fondly called LDMM, the Maputo club were founded in 1990 and have won two league titles in 2010 and 2011. In 2011, the team lost in the preliminary round of the Caf Champions League and reached the first round in 2012.

It is their first time in the Caf Confederation Cup after winning the 2012 Taça de Moçambique (Mozambican Cup) On the other hand, Lobi Stars return to the continent after their last Caf Confederation Cup campaign in 2006.
