Key Responsibilities:
· Full profit and loss statement accountability for marine aftermarket business and Achieving annual sales and profit AOP
· Develop and implement marketing and sales strategies for the development and growth of new and existing aftermarket sales in the Cummins West Africa territory
· In conjunction with the Quickserve Champion lead the implantation and ongoing performance improvement of the Quickserve Process within Marine operations and our customers
· Account: Manage designated accounts seeking opportunities to develop and grow such accounts by introducing and selling the benefits of new and existing products and services
· Lead, train and coach in the achievement of strategic goals and sales targets for the Cummins Marine business.
· Apply CMI principles whilst maintaining key customer, OEM and supplier contact at all levels.
· Maintain current and grow new Service on Site contracts with customers
· Fully implement the Four Pillars of Marine strategies in Cummins West Africa
· Monitor trends, specific issues relating to marine business activities, market opportunities, competitive activity, that may affect the Cummins West Africa business.
· Develop and maintain strategic business relationships, using Cummins values, with key stakeholders across the Cummins organisation
· Grow aftermarket support across territory by appointing, developing and managing dealer relationships
· Be a leader in embracing Cummins Vision/Mission while exemplifying the Cummins personality, performance ethics and core values
· Develop local capability in all Cummins West Africa territories
· To ensure that work is conducted in accordance with, Cummins objectives, initiatives, policies and procedures.
· Develop Programs to support the respective BU efforts.
· Implement SHE strategies to create a safe working environment
· Extensive business travel in Cummins West Africa territories
Implement all initiatives as required by the Management Team and other duties as identified by your Line Manager
Experience Required:
• Minimum 5 years sales and service experience in Commercial Marine
• Strong service and technical Commercial Marine operations background
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and effective people communication at all levels
• Customer relationship management and development
• Commercial Marine Sales and management experience
• Good understanding of achieving impact within a Corporate and distribution environment
Qualifications:
• Formal Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or similar Essential
• Management qualifications Essential
• MBA Preferred
