Title: Kenya Players Shun Camp
Post by: Folami David on Mar 15, 2013, 12:34 AM

Kenya have been hit by a lack of numbers in training a sthey prepare for their upcoming 2014 World Cup qualifier against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
.
It has not been smooth sailing for head coach Adel Amrouche and his team as a number of key players have been pulling out of camp regularly.
.
On Tuesday morning, March 12th, at the City Stadium and later on at the Nyayo National Stadium in the evening, there were only 12 players in camp. Stars were devoid of Gor Mahia, Ulinzi Stars, Western Stima and Tusker FC players who were away on club commitments.
.
Gor and Tusker players will not be back until next week as they have continental commitments over the weekend while the arrival of Ulinzi and the lone Stima player will boost numbers.
.
Jacktone Odhiambo and Mulinge Munandi of Ulinzi together with Stima's Daniel Onyango will train on Wednesday after featuring for their respective clubs in the Tusker Premier League in Kakamega on Tuesday.
.
That will at-least boost numbers and morale in camp as assistant coach James Nandwa agrees.
.
"The numbers have been an issue but we have to continue nonetheless," said Nandwa.
.
"It is obviously good to have everyone available but they have been away and we can't do anything about it. We continue with the numbers we have and do our best. Next week, though, we hope to have everyone available as we start the serious work."
.
Good news for Nigeria!
