As Room Service Manager,you will report directly to the Food & BeverageManager. You will be responsible for the over all smooth running of room services, co-ordinate all functions and activities andlead a professional and dedicated group of individuals. You will collaborate with other sections such as Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Front Office, Accounts, Engineering, Guests Relations etc,to achieve InterContinental Lagos service objectives. You will alsoidentify and anticipate guest's need by ensuring complete guest satisfaction.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Manage the billing procedure to ensure that foods and drinks are properly accounted and paid for
- Ensure that all customers are served according to the set standards
- Implement stock checks and storage
- Ensure that all service preparations are made and ready for service in accordance with the hotel standards
- Promote all menu items and special promotions
- Inspect outlet's office daily for sanitation and malfunction of equipment
Qualifications:
- A degree in Hospitality Management or its equivalent
- Typically 5 years Room Service managerial experience in hotels of international brand
- Experience in high-end city operation with large rooms division
- Pre opening experience a strong plus
- Good business mind and commercial flair
- Good understanding of the local business and operation environments and markets
- Service minded and ability to involve and support operations
- Business savvy and good people skills
