Job Title: Expression of Interest for Baseline Survey Consultant

The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) has received a grant from the African Development Fund in various currencies equivalent to 39.9 million UA towards the cost of the Support to Agricultural Research for Development of Strategic Crops Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this grant to eligible payments under the contract for which this invitation for Expression of Interest is issued.
You are invited to express your interest in the under-mentioned consultancy assignment;
Brief description of the Assignment: The Consultant should conduct qualitative and quantitative data (both primary and secondary data) to address the relevant existing situations in order to measure SARD-SC intervention outputs, outcomes and prospect impacts. In this context he/she will suggest the entry points for each Commodities (Cassava, Maize, Rice and Wheat), and what need to be collected.
Qualifications and Experience Required: The consultant should have a PhD, MBA or similar advanced degree in Agricultural Economics, Economics, Management or any related field with a least 10 years experiences in quantitative and qualitative data management, analysis and report writing of baseline data collected.
Department issuing the request: SARD-SC, IITA Project Office.
Place of Assignment: Mainly IITA and other Centers – with travel to SARD-SC IITA Project target countries.
Duration of Assignment: 2 months
