The Media Consultant to the Imo State Deputy Governor, Kelvin Oji on Monday defended his boss, Jude Agbaso over the bribery allegations levelled against him by the state House of Assembly.
Speaking as a guest on Channels Television's breakfast programme, Sunrise Daily, Mr Oji said the allegations that his boss collected money from a contractor in the state was baseless.
The media consultant said the House of Assembly constituted an Ad-hoc committee to look into the issue of abandoned project in the state and a contractor from Jaybros International Limited, emerged with a baseless accusation that Mr Agbaso collected N458million from him in order to cover him up.
"The deputy governor never collected a dime or bribe from the construction company," he said.
