Harambee Stars defender George Owino has called for prayer and support from Kenyans as they embark on their trip to Nigeria.
.
The Stars have an uphill task getting a positive result in their clash with the Super Eagles over the weekend in 2014 World Cup qualifying.
.
Despite the task at hand, three points will be important as the Stars have only one point from two games played. Owino admits it will be a tough ask to get a win but is confident the side can play well.
.
"This is football, if you are not confident then you are in the wrong sport. Everyone thinks we will lose on Saturday so in a way there is no pressure. Plus I am sure the Nigerians will be under pressure from their home fans to win the game. It plays nicely into our hands and thus my confidence.
.
"We have very good players who have experience and talent and I feel we can get a good result." Owino also hopes that Kenyans at home will give them the support they need too. We need Kenyans to pray for us," he continued.
.
"It is a difficult trip for us but with their moral support, all will go nicely. On Saturday they can cheer us from home and we will be well. I am quietly confident."
.
Owino will play a key role in his side's defence, with his experience key in keeping at bay the storied Nigerian attacking line-up.
Their fans cannot be up to Nigerian fans on that day. The better team will definately come out victorious
