Job description:
• Evaluates suppliers on Cost, Quality, and Delivery metrics; develops new supply sources as required. This includes obtaining quotations, examining bids, and making awards.
• Carry out competitive bids process, issue commercial bids comparison on the basis of technical appraisals, evaluate in coordination with Project Team, assign/enter purchase orders into ERP system, to QA/Client pre-qualified and approved Vendors;.
• Plans materials within the factory, utilizing historical data and future demand profiles. Works with Operations leadership to create statistical models to meet required demand, includes any seasonal, trend and casual information. Ensures materials shortages exist while maintaining as low as an inventory position as possible.
• Recommends interim forecast changes and/or issues a watch list of items that may have significant variances to forecast.
• Provides formal and informal reporting on suppliers, cost out activities, plant inventory and associated supply chain / planning execution.
• Drives operations toward World-Class performance by assisting in the implementing of continuous improvement programs to reduce cycle time, reduce manufacturing space, reduce cost, and improve flexibility. Actively works with suppliers to reduce lead times and order quantities.
Requirements:
• Minimum requirement is for an undergraduate degree in a business related field.
• 6 + years experience in a supply chain management or closely associated role.
• Knowledge & experience of Upstream Contracts is desirable.
• knowledge and experience on import/export trade control and letter of credit rules
• Must be able to work within a growing Team, in developing improved work processes
• Knowledge required of tender evaluation, negotiation of purchasing terms & conditions, expediting, inspection and logistics
• Experienced in handling and processing bid tender clarifications
• Experienced in the preparation of Procurement Procedures & Forms
• Experience in MS Office is highly desirable
