Job Objective/Purpose of Job: – Use CAD (Computer-Aided Design) systems to develop and produce clear and technically accurate civil engineering (and related disciplines') drawings based on engineers' design sketches, output data and/or specifications, following all relevant engineering procedures, Codes of Practice and Standards so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner. – This position works closely with in-house engineers and, as volume/scope of work increases, will be required to supervise CAD Draftsmen/Operators to coordinate the efficient preparation of design and construction drawings and manage the Division's/ Unit's CAD system.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Education Qualification: – HND/BSc in Civil Engineering from a recognised University or Polytechnic. – NYSC discharge or exemption certificate
Experience:
1.Ability to independently carry out detailed CAD drafting/annotation and reinforcement detailing based on engineers' design data and specifications.
2.Ability to carry out minor structural computations for civil facilities and structures under supervision of design engineers.
3.Computer literacy is required as follows:
(a) Mandatory at "advanced" level in the following software applications:
-AutoCAD latest version and earlier.
-MS Excel
(b) Mandatory at "user" level in the following software applications:
-MS Word
-MS PowerPoint
-MS Project
-MS Access
